PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE:
 
 
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: HEALTHCARE
 
  • As a Medical Sales Representative for Lederle Laboratories, I managed a 13-County Region in central and eastern Kentucky, maintaining annual budgets on key products. Responsibilities encompassed 13 hospitals, 90 physicians and 60 retail outlets.
 
  • Led the Midwest Region in new product introductions of an antihypertensive product, Maxzide and an intravenous antibiotic, Pipracil.
 
  • Brought low-producing Lederle territory into the competitive top tier in the Midwest Region.
 
  • Doctoral training, research and consulting in the healthcare industry, most recently with the Robert Wood Johnson Leadership Foundation in community health initiatives.
 
  • Author of "Alternative Medicine," part of a "Health and Medical Issues Today" series published by Greenwood Press in December of 2006.
 
  • Author of "An Ounce of Prevention"... article published in "Lexington Woman" magazine in their September/October 2006 issue on women's health.
 
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: FINANCIAL SERVICES
 
  • Developed business development initiatives for the personal trust division of National City Corporation, which included the design and implementation of an internal financial management course for women that generated a $1.4 million dollar investment account at its initial offering.
 
  • Designed and maintained the first successful retail-referral program in 60 branch locations that generated $3.2 million in current fee and $4.9 million in future fee business in its initial twelve months of operation.
 
  • Served as an Investment Executive in the consumer markets division of Paine Webber, with responsibility for business development efforts. Achieved district recognition for business development efforts during the corporate orientation program.

  • Developed corporate-wide initiatives for financial services firm covering a three-state region of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, focusing on sales, service and performance improvement.
